Genetic Diversity Of Andropogon Species With Different Microsatellite Markers For Better Selection And Improvement

نویسندگان

چکیده

Pastures have over the years been selected for important traits and their breeding has resulted in some high yielding forage grasses with great adaptive population expansion traits. The research was carried out to study genetic diversity of nine Andropogon spp. sourced from Remo zone Ogun State using four microsatellite markers (Phil227562, Xcup63, CTM59, Xcup14). Genomic DNA extracted succulent leaf part grass extraction procedure Zymo spin™ technology. Every one loci–populace is Hardy–Weinberg equilibrum. A sum eight alleles were noticed quantity per locus an estimation 2.00, while number ranged 1.528 (Phil227562) 1.946 (Xcup63). viable lesser than at all loci. Shannon's Information Index differed among loci 0.530 0.679 (Xcup63) though Inbreeding coefficient across clones negative (mean = - 0.429), going 0.07 (Phil 227562) 0.714 100% polymorphic heterozygosity higher expected considered.

Assessment of genetic diversity among sunflower genotypes using microsatellite markers

Genetic diversity estimation of plant materials is one of the important pre-breeding activities in breeding field crops. Twenty-one microsatellite markers used to assess genetic diversity and relationship of 68 sunflower genotypes (Helianthus annuus L.). All of 21 pairs of SSR (Simple Sequence Repeats) markers produced a total number of 49 polymorphic bands. DNA fragments ranged from 9...

Genetic Diversity of Iranian and Some of European Grapesrevealed by Microsatellite Markers

In order to characterize Iranian grape (Vitis vinifera L.) germplasm, 136 genotypes were collected from five grape growing regions (Azarbaijan, Qazvin, Kordestan, Khorasan and Fars) and genotyped along with 36 European cultivars using 9 sequence tagged microsatellite sites (STMS) markers. The used set of markers could distinguish all 172 genotypes under study. Altogether 84 polymorphic alleles ...

Assessment of the Genetic Diversity of Almond (Prunus dulcis) Using Microsatellite Markers and Morphological Traits

The genetic diversity among 56 almond (Prunus dulcis) genotypes was analysed using 35 microsatellite markers and 14 morphological traits. Analysis of morphological traits revealed a wide range of variation among the studied genotypes. Out of 35 simple sequence repeats (SSRs) markers, 25 were polymorphic, producing 215 alleles that varied from 2 to 16 with an average of 8.76 alleles per locus. R...

Evaluation of Genetic Diversity in Japanese and English White Quail Populations Using Microsatellite Markers

The Japanese and English White quails are widespread strains and belongs to the Galliformes order, Phasianidae family, Coturnix genus  and Japonica species. These birds are likely to be well-adapted to the hard conditions and resistance to diseases as it has attained economic importance as an agricultural species. In the current study, the genetic variation of Japanese and English White  quail ...
